ive decided ima get me a truck in the first of the next year,next 3 to 4 months,but well how good is the bass in the 6.5 componets,ive never had a set,never interested me at all,im guessing its like the coaxials they just sound alot better?help me out here,i doubt i will add any subs,if so not gonna go overboard with body shaking bass

bass isnt that great if i wasnt so lazy id cut mine out for sum 6x9s

6.5 > 6x9 by a lot...... but you still won't get good bass below about 80 hz or so from speakers that small.

properly powered components sound much better in all aspects next to coaxials imo. The midrange sounds much clearer. Components weren't made for bass though, so if you're listening for spl, then it will probably be similar to a coaxial...
