it depends on what size amp u got and how much power? if u got a 400 watt sub and say a jbl 1000 watt amp then it would probably blow really quick.

at the moment ive got two 1500watt subs running off just one 1000watt amp.

Not real quick as long as the 1000 is clean power.





Subs almost always blow due to clipping. Set your amp gain correctly and it won't happen.

depends on the sub.. some really can't handle much more than the RMS rating for daily power..

for burps i'd agree with the above statement

just interested to see how easy it happens cause im too scared to really crank mine, my mates blow 3 weeks after being fitted! they were crap ones though.

alot of it has to do with the signal from the amp if u set ur amp where it doesnt clip u might not ever blow subs i ran 2 RF p1 12s (150rms i think) on 400 watts each for about a year and they never blew also if u are in a truck and can get your hand on the subs u can feel them and if they start getting hot just turn em down some
