XXX should not be in the same lineup as an MT or DD 9500 series

What are you looking for? Any SPL sub or something more SQ oriented..?

As well as your budget and vehicle it will go in? Already have an amp?

Yeah, is this an SQ or SPL system? For SQ, XXX. For SPL, 9500.

if i go with 1 sub- I am going to get something that can handle 2000rms like 1 12 inch dual 2

or i might run with 3 dual 4 ohm 12s and put 1000 to each

I'd suggest using only one amp.

(2) Si Mag 12"s on 2000rms ftw :-)

...btw if you run two subs you need DVC 2ohm .. for one you need a DVC 4ohm to match that amp

Eclipse considers it a mono block. it is like 2 mono blocks in one. more like a 2 channel i guess. How much are the Si Mag 12s. where would i get them?

Someone went MAG -> XXX (probably '06, it had that same basket) -> MAG, because they said the XXX had a bunch of mechanical noise.

that XXX is a monster, but apparently there was flaws in the design (according to the man who designed them himself).

get an alt that powers enough compared to the amount that your ampwill draw..big 3 is always helpful, and yea a couple of batts and you should b good......i always like to run a voltage meeter at my amp and mount it somewhere in plain site therefore you can make sure your never dropping below 12 volts casue if you are your automatically clipping....but if you are interested in the alt later jsut email me at ptownboy420@hotmail.com

btw.. the new XXX and MX do have bad motor noise.. it sounds like you can hear the air getting sucked in between the coil/motor to cool the coils... guess thats one of the flaws to using such a large coil that is mostly open.. at least its well vented :-)
