give us:

space available?
car?
electrical upgrades ok to do?
specific budget? (an actual number)
size of subs wanted?
number of subs wanted?
spl, sq, sql? (im guessing spl for some 'cazy' bass)
whole new system? (speaks, amps, subs, HU, etc?)
or just subs/amp?

At least 2 alternators w/ bracket will run about 1000.
3-4 batteries will be about another 1-1500 depending on brand.
About 250 on wires, terminals, fuses and all. I'd go with 2 RF 4ks, from a dealer your looking around 3-4k.
DD subs are proven in the lanes, but if he's looking for a ground pounder more than a competition vehicle I'd go with LMS 5200s, Fi BTLs, or RE MTs.
I'm 100% satisfied with my BTLs, and I prefer the way they sound to the MTs on music (as well as the DDs). That still should leave enough money to have a reputable shop build him a good enclosure, if he's not building it himself. If he is doing it himself he can build a really good box.

ORION HCCA 15s! buy them... and make everyone sh!t themselves... Matt kitzis heard then last week... a dude with 2 15s and like 8kw was hitting 154s no problem, i think he also said they were just throw into a box for 18s with an added baffle so the 15s would fit... go with 2 of those and throw 8kw on them and love the SQL

Yeah Tc sounds recently bumped up their prices. (In some cases doubled). I'm not completely sure of their business tactics but I'm sorta kicking myself for not jumpimg on some of their inventory b4 the jump.

if he's really gonna spend that much then go with the HCCAs or the top of the line audiopulse... both will be sick setups...

Soundstream 18" XXX... 10000w rms I think that might have some decent bass lol
No idea on the cost though (saw a 15" on eBay for $225 with like 5 days left)
And I've never heard a review on one so idk, just thought 4000 more watts rms than a Jackhammer would be sweet

PS Anyone know a sub that can take more than 10000w rms? Heard of BTL's taking that daily, but that's about it.
