ohh that amp does 2000 rms at 2 ohms so woudl that be good for 2 dual 2 ohm type r's or not? i hear dthere capable of doing 1200 a piece but its not healthy for em. but would about 800 a piece sound nice? sinc eit does 2000 rms would that be good for em ?

If that amp will do 2000wrms @ 2 ohms, then get the dual 2 ohm R's. Then if you ever want to add another type R or two, you will have enough power to do so correctly. (dual 4's will still work just fine tho).

What I meant was: If you get 2 dual 2 ohms subs, you can wire them up to 2 ohms on that amp, so you would get 2000 watts from it, 1000 to each sub (which you dont need that much, but its up to you)

Then if you were to get 2 more dual 2 ohm subs (4 total), you could wire them up to a 1 ohm load on the amp, getting 3000 watts from the amp, 750 watts to each sub.

Also you cannot bridge that amp, its a mono amp.

Use the calculator

http://www.subwoofertools.com/forum/setgain.asp

and enter the amount of watts you want to get from the amp, not necessarily the most it can do.

The only thing ill say is whatever frequency you set the gain to say 50 hz for example it will produce more power below that frequency. So be carefull.

If you already have the amp then lets not worry about getting a different one

63.2 volts AC is correct for 2000 watts at 2 ohms so whats the problem?
