Would my amp recieve more power with a without a cap or it wouldn't be and noticeable diff.

well i believe your amp will see no difference with or w/o a cap, becuz in the end ur alt. is still doing all the work.
correct me if i'm wrong

but if you have one install why is it i heard it just add loads to your alt. so it wouldn't matter if I had one or not

A cap doesn't produce any power. It's more of a power filter/conditioner. Don't expect any more juice from it.

it does matter it adds an uneccesary load to your alt and can end up shortening the life of your alt

It cannot add power, if anything it will lower the overall voltage as it has an internal resistance, and that would then provide a overall resistance to the whole system.
