im thinking about getting 3 10" mtx woofers in a sledgehammer enclosure. i found them really cheap on craigslist. i think they are 5500s. what would be the overall impendance for the subs?

ask the seller....we cant figure out the total impedance until we know what all 3 subs single impedance is

My friend used to have one of those and it was DVC 4ohm.

All the mtx subs ive seen (of the newer stuff) are all 4 ohm, but to deal with different wiring configs, they are either single 4 ohm or dual 4 ohm subs. I think everything from the 45's to the 95's are that way. It sounds dumb to me why they do it like that, but im sure they have a reason for it.

Current MTX subs come in SVC and DVC 4ohm...that is all.

if its a 5510 its probally a single 4ohm
