Got a buddy lookin for a realllly nice clean sounding system for like 400....

he's in a band and doesn't want anything too rediculously loud. He has his stock bose system in his acura, so i was thinking a real nice tight clean 12....

I was thinkin either a 12" RE SE or a 12" Diamond D3....

any other ideas...or amps to power those?

figure like 350 for sub and amp (50 for wiring)

My MAW 12s sounds nice, until they start getting up to double the RMS rating, then it's just loud. The cones don't even get warm though. Then it's just loud. Maybe an Assassin? RD Classic? One of those t5001bd's?

I only listened to it 5 minutes in a vehicle but sounds decent what I did listen to. Also I played it in my apartment on 60 - 65 watts rms on one channel of my home stereo and starting at 30 hz and up it was rattling my windows without being fully cranked. I just decided to go a diffrent route with my system thats why im selling it. The sub is in a 1 cubic foot box sealed after the subs displacement but can go in a .50 cubic foot box after displacements sealed box.
