Well if I was competing in Street A I'd go with Kicker or maybe something from Atomic. You might want to look into an RD SHW.

"i'd go with 2 solo x 10s. that would be loud."

you would need alot of batteries to power them lol since the car is off on burps in street A

The contestant's vehicle may be running while in the judging lanes as long as the following conditions apply:

The contestant is competing in the Super Street or Extreme Divisions of competition. Contestants competing in the Street and Street Max Divisions are prohibited from running their vehicles while in the judging lanes. (Please see Section 2 for a complete description of the Competitor Classification System.)
Operation of the vehicle or sound system must not endanger the judge, competitor, spectators, or any real or personal property on the premises.
The vehicle's parking brake must be set.
The wheels must be chocked.
The hood must be closed.
The maximum engine idle speed must not exceed 2000 RPM.
A remote "engine kill switch" must be easily accessible from outside of the vehicle for those competitors that are bolting (clamping, strapping, etc.) the doors of the vehicle closed while in the judging lanes.

No, dont worry about not having enough power, you can fit plenty of power under the hood. You'll need multiple runs of 0g wire though.
Run subs with GIGANTIC motors, power hungry is fine. You can fit a pair of 5000watt amps strapped in this class, enough to make any 10"s reach full excursion.
But trust me, motor strength is key.

DDz or DD99

Those are my top choices for street A.

i've seen tuan from team toxic bass run 2 solo x 10s with one dd z1 battery under the hood. he hit 150+. like zac said, he had multiple runs of 0 gauge going to the back. a sh!t load of them. lol

also jk said he will have more batteries for daily. but for comp he will either hide it or disconnect it.

Don't try hiding your batteries...they'll see them. You'll only get yourself into trouble JK and besides that's cheating and not fair to other competitors.

Yea but if you can't win without cheating then you shouldn't win at all.Chad,do me a favor and look at Tuan's stats on dbdrag.com,I can't because I'm not a "Premium" member,I'm pretty sure you are so take a look at his setup as listed and wins or whatever if you can.Thanks.

hey yall, thanks for the feedback. i really dont wanna run solo x's just cuz they will double as my daily sub :-( i was thinking two 95/9910's or 9912 or maybe an atomic apxx or two apx 10's. as for batterys the biggest i can fit is a kinetik 1400 under hood. and will have either two or three 2400's in back for daily use. amp is atomic 5k. and car is 94 ford taurus sho.

You better modify your battery tray to fit something bigger than that.

I did Street A with a single 12, running a pair of 10's is a must. I took second to Terry Brocks who ran 2 DD 9910's.
