Hey guys,
Im selling my a8002v amp to a kid i know for $100, so I am going to be in the market for a new amp.
The sub is a 15" Fi SSD, its a dual 2 ohm, and i want to get around 900-1200 and not over 1300 rms with the new amp.
I have seen them take up to 1800, but i dont want to take any chances, plus i will be running it all on a stock 100 amp alt.
I have gotten a recomendation for a memphis 1000 and an Ed nine but im open to all suggestions, dont want to spend over $150 additional, so $250 total.

Let me know. Thanks in advance.

A Kicker Kx1200.1 would do the job.

Hell, you could get a RF t5001bd if you wanted. It's rated at 500RMS@1ohm, but I have one and it's actual output is 1036RMS. You can get one brand new shipped for close to $200. They're sexy amps too.

...i dont think he was selling/giving away anything.

Thanks again guys, I almost want to stay away from mainstream stuff like kicker or RF, and make people ask "whats that".

The hifonics is a little on the pricey side, but could work.

What you all have to say about the memphis? I hear they under-rate their amps, plus i could get one for around $200 new on Ebay.}

Sorry Kyle I wasn't selling. Just making a suggestion.

Blaze, why stay away from mainstream? I agree with that for subs cuz mainstream generally suck. However, Rockford and Kicker are up there with anything.

Yea, maybe I am kinda influenced by the..."shitty-ness" of mainstream subs. I will take a look, see what i like, and is in my price range.

Im still interested in how the Memphis amps perform.

Sold my amp literally 10 mins ago, and i already feel naked. Granted, i am not going to be listening to it until i get my new Xterra, but still, just looking at my box n subs in my basement, without my amp is heartbreaking .

As i stop myself from rambling on... just let me know what you guys think.

Yea, good point. Its going to be hard to find a amp that puts out ~1200rms at one ohm though...

This one is towards the top at the price range, but im really considering it:
