| Silver MemberUsername: Northomaha Post Number: 572 Registered: Mar-06 | its good stuff, i doubled mine up just on the trunk lid and rattles are at a minimum. the best stuf was the liquid kind i heard |
| Gold MemberUsername: Th3pwn3r Post Number:... Post Number: 5487 Registered: Jul-06 | I've heard that it's very good as well.Everyone says it's much better than Dynamat and it's cheaper by far.You can also look into FatMat and Second Skin. |
| Silver MemberUsername: Tejcurrent Post Number: 714 Registered: Apr-07 | We just did the entire interior of my bros truck with the v1, seems to work good. It's held up to the heat okay so far, and it made a huge difference after 3 layers. Price is right. |
| Gold MemberUsername: Th3pwn3r Post Number:... Post Number: 5492 Registered: Jul-06 | I think three layers of anything would make a huge difference lol. |
| Silver MemberUsername: Tejcurrent Post Number: 719 Registered: Apr-07 | ^no joke lol. One layer wasn't enough, and he had some left over with 2 layers, so 3 went to most places. He ordered 100ft for a single cab chevy 2500. It sounds so much better- the road noise used to be aweful! We don't have his audio gear hooked up yet, but he just changed over from a bench to racing seats, so we're making a center console for his 12" BL (If I can't convince him to recone it to a 15" ). I figure if $ isn't a huge issue it's worth it while you have the panels off. |
| Bronze MemberUsername: Shak180 Hayward, California Usa Post Number: 30 Registered: Jul-07 | on my 97 dodge neons trunk how much should i buy and what areas should i do? whole trunk ? partial ? |
| Silver MemberUsername: Tejcurrent Post Number: 720 Registered: Apr-07 | just measure and figure out the square footage. 2-3 layers on the lid, 2+ layers on the floor and sides. I'd greatstuff the lid first though, fill it to the brim. |
| Bronze MemberUsername: Shak180 Hayward, California Usa Post Number: 31 Registered: Jul-07 | should i take out all the cloth covering in the trunk and do everything from the spare tire area up ? |
| Silver MemberUsername: Tejcurrent Post Number: 721 Registered: Apr-07 | I'd go down to the bare metal, leave the factory deadener, wipe down with acetone, and go for it. It's a lot easier than many people make it out to be. |
| Bronze MemberUsername: Shak180 Hayward, California Usa Post Number: 32 Registered: Jul-07 | what would you do to put the factory trunk stuff back on tho all the holes for the rivets will be covered pretty deep |
| Gold MemberUsername: Cenus Ohio Post Number: 3731 Registered: Jan-05 | i use v1se on my hatch and it greatly reduced rattles, of course this is after 3 layers and 4 in some spots, i used dynamat on my door speakers and it did a good job also, i really can't compare the two, but i do know the edead was a lot easier to install, for it was a lot stickier and more flexible when compared to the dynamat. |
| Silver MemberUsername: Tejcurrent Post Number: 723 Registered: Apr-07 | Just punch holes in the deadener where it's important to have it. |
| Gold MemberUsername: Frkkevin Resonant Engineering..., Fort Worth... Email Post Number: 3946 Registered: Nov-05 | eDead = Peal-n-Seal |
| Silver MemberUsername: Shade Moxee, Wa U.S. Post Number: 429 Registered: Nov-06 | when id id my dodge neon trunk, took "great stuff" and filled in the trunk lid holes. took a knife and scraped off access "great stuff", and put dynamt xtreme all over the lid, and the rest throughout the trunk, also note, cut for little squares for the liscense plate, put that between the plate and the trunk. |
| Silver MemberUsername: Shade Moxee, Wa U.S. Post Number: 430 Registered: Nov-06 | lemme rephrase that, take those little squares and run the screws throu them so that the liscense plate cannot touch ur trunk |
| Bronze MemberUsername: Shak180 Hayward, California Usa Post Number: 38 Registered: Jul-07 | what year is your neon jeremy ? and do you have any pics of the install ? |
| Silver MemberUsername: Shade Moxee, Wa U.S. Post Number: 438 Registered: Nov-06 | it's an 02' sxt and lemme see i know it's not the greatest pix but all i took at the time, i used a dynamat xtreme kit, and it covered about 90% of the trunk |
| Bronze MemberUsername: Shak180 Hayward, California Usa Post Number: 41 Registered: Jul-07 | whats that foam stuff, where did you get it from, and how much was it ? |
| Silver MemberUsername: Shade Moxee, Wa U.S. Post Number: 441 Registered: Nov-06 | i think it was 8 bux a can, it's called "great stuff" aka expanding foam, and home depot or lowes is where i found it, i went throu 1.5 cans, the only thing that rattles on my car now is my sunroof |
