Is it really worth getting an 8v preout VS a 5v preout..

the signal will be going through an audiocontrol eqs so i can ajust the voltage from there.. 2-13v

so really what would be the difference between 5v-8v voltage on the input side?

research what stuff you plan on running. Some amps will only take a 5 volt or less input max.
But if your getting a line driver, then its probly not worth it to go 8 volt HU. But I would still go to a 5 volt for greater flexability down the line if you lose the line driver.

i did not plan on even running a h/u.. was gonna use my stock h/u into the audiocontrol but i don't think that would be wise for SQ..

my two options i was looking at was teh eclipse cd3000 and eclipse cd5000

i would not mind a pioneer 780 if i can get one at a good price or the old headunit i ran which was the clarion dxz855mp (dxz865mp for the black model)

Think about this HU. ppl hate on it, but I love the USB feature and music editor it came with. Its got 3- 5 volt outs. Tons of tuning. and a remote. Cant be beat for the price.

My choice would be the X890 due to USB and Voice indexing and price.
*x890 is the x590 without G-Analizer. If I wanted to know G-force, I would buy a real G-Meter.
