I just bought a 2001 Accord and I am having trouble installing components in it. I have done many installs before but none like this. The components are polk MMC6500's in front and rear with an eclipse XA4000 amp. The amp is mounted in the trunk and I have the rear speakers installed with the rear crossovers mounted in the trunk. My problem is finding a good location for the tweeters and crossover for the front two. The woofers mount fine in the door. The accord has factory tweeters in the dash but the polks are too big. I was thinking about modifying the bracket that held the old tweeters. I just dont know if the sound quality would be as good as mounting them on the door, if that is an option. The crossover is fairly large so the options on that are minimal. Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated.
