8.5 cu ft. @ ~32 Hz

I forgot to mention, that clamp in the pics is the greatest thing ever; I wish I had gotten some before I built all my boxes in the past :X

Okay, the rest of my ring terminals and misc items come in this week @ some point.

I hooked it up to hear it today and I think i built the perfect box, these subs hit lower than my Q and are ten fold louder, I have gains and all zeros becuz I only have my khc1800 so far. The monsters are still waiting for ring terminals! lol

Alright well Ill get you guys alot more pics coming up and defintely some vids

haha i wont pick on your for the cut outs.

but you should have bought ring terminals from an auto part store they are better then the ones you buy online and pay more for. plus you dont have to wait on shipping. anyway glad to hear you like them so far.

dont know what those look like but sounds like a good deal, i just hate seeing people waste money on ones from places like knu and stuff because they are cheap azz terminals.

looks good,& if ya build another box in the future there is a easier way to make the speaker circles use a nail and tie a string around it and then tie a pencil around the other end of the string and u got a perfect circle to cut on

Chris, he probably drew pretty good circles, it's not easy cutting a perfect circle with a jig saw, let alone a RotoZip.

i had perfect circles... i know the basic logic of compases... lol

but the thing is its hard to cut with a jigsaw.... and my jigsaw broke

so i rotozipped them... I dunno if you know what a rotozip is but tis basically a hand held drill with a rapidly spinning drill bit that is nearly impossible to make go in curve motions, it has a mind of its own! I was grippnig it and forcing it to cut circles with al my strength lol

I use a large expandable compass for my holes.

And it sounds odd to me that so many ppl have a hard time cutting good circles with a jigsaw. Are you guys using your left hands lol? So many ppl complain about how long it takes also. Seriously it may take me 90 seconds to cut an 18" hole. Just use a sharp blade. A ten pack of new blades is what, $15? Is 90 seconds really an eternity?

yeah with new blades ( fast smooth mdf blades ) i can cut 15" subwoofer holes in about a min. make sure you use the fast cut for dense wood blade.

This is a little bit off topic but maybe you can give me your opinion. I noticed the AA and FI stickers. I'm actually debating between an 18" Havoc and an 18" BL. I'm going to be using a Elemental Designs NINe.1 (1200rms @ 1ohm). Which of those two would be louder? or just better overall...

i would have to say havoc.... Ive heard the Qs from Fi and suposivley the BL is like the Q only more output in the spl area....

I'd say my havocs put out ten fold more than my Qs did.... the havocs are beasts - do it!
