Hey guys, i just purchased a 1995 toyota 4runner limited. Well, it's got 4" speakers in the dash, 5.25's in the rear doors, and 6.5" in the far back, i want a frontstage, not a rear. I hate rear sound, what's the best way to get a good front-stage? i dont want to spend the money on kick-panel speakers, but do i have any other options?

make a MDF ring to cover the existing speaker hole and to mount a 6.5 speaker in place. then run an amp for them and unplug your other speakers. but decent stuff and get a little sq sub and it will sound nice.

there isn't another speaker hole, there's none in the doors, and just some vents where some go in the dash itself, would rather not cut a hole in the door if possible, are kick panels my only option?

oooh ok, or you can put in 4" speakers in your dash. otherwise cut a hole in your door or build some kickpods.
