i have the ed v1 (whatever the cheapest is) and no complaints at all.

and i know someone is going to post the link for the s.d. showdown, but remember that is 2 years old and some stuff on it have changed alot. but still, if price is no concern, second skin all the way. you might even be able to get it discounted if you pm the rep over on caf.

the edead is a butyl. you must have the old stuff. plus the v1 isn't recommended for the roof.

not sure, that's what they told me when i called and talked to them about which would be best/where at for deadning a car. did you do more than 1 layer? imo doing more than one layer is where the edead really makes it worth the money. at $.80 a sqft. you can do 2, maybe 3, layers at the same/lower cost of dynamat xtreme and get the same results.

The original eDead v1 is exactly the same as Peal and Seal. I agree with Mat... Second Skin Damplifier Pro is the best in the business if you have the $$$. If you are on a budget, just use multiple layers of Peal and Seal... it is hella cheap and does the job, especially in doors. Heat it up as you apply it and it isn't going anywhere.

I just installed some Second Skin myself. Helped the rattles ALOT! Even gave my score a 1.2 db gain. Didn't have enough to finish either, so only half the trunk done :-) Looking good to me, I say go Second Skin.

for the price u could use 3 runs of v.1 vs. thicker deadener

a key factor is what the deadener will do in heat...in NY i def wouldnt worry about it, but if u got the $$$$...

^^^^^I kept my sunroof from rattling by putting a thin piece of weather stripping under that little metal piece- since that's what seems to make most of the noise. ;)

And Great Stuff expanding foam is your friend.
