Monday, October 01, 2007 - 01:48 GMT Quick couple questions on electrical systems running 2500rms....what size alt and what batts? im guesing about a 250A alt, new batt under the hood, and another batt in the trunk? clarify this for me please btw, before anyone makes any jokes about why a person with 6k+ posts is asking this question, its cause i have never bothered to learn 2 sh1ts about this stuff cause i thought i would never be able to convince my dad to let me do electrical upgrades to my car (which he pays for)

Monday, October 01, 2007 - 02:56 GMT optimas are alot lower capacity, they are normally about 1000cca where a kinetik 2400 is about 2500cca

Monday, October 01, 2007 - 05:31 GMT HO alt as big as you can get, and a new battery would be optimal for that setup. 2nd battery isn't needed. Also look in to Oddssey batteries. They are built a lot tougher than Kinetik and have a lot more power than Optima.

Monday, October 01, 2007 - 13:53 GMT Yea,Yanks.Get the biggest that you can fit in there.Make sure you measure first and remember...you can't bend a battery to get it to fit That's where a lot of people make their mistakes when measuring for a batt.
