Wednesday, September 19, 2007 - 17:18 GMT Well, let's see: The L7 handles 750W rms and has 225 in^2 (l*w) surface area. The BL has 254 in^2 (pi*r^2) and handles 1000W. Based on that I'm going to say the BL will be louder

Wednesday, September 19, 2007 - 17:23 GMT depends on power and install, but the BL has more potential imo. I wouldn't give the BL less than 1500 watts rms.

Wednesday, September 19, 2007 - 17:31 GMT I agree with Troy. The BL definitely has more potential. It can take twice the power of the L7, has more cone area, and will sound a hell of a lot better while its getting loud. With that being said I would pick the BL.

Wednesday, September 19, 2007 - 23:41 GMT well quite a few of my friends have L7s and i wanted to make sure it would be loud and if i get the BL i would get stock b/c thats $309 compared to L7 around $240.

Wednesday, September 19, 2007 - 23:45 GMT Also, in some vehicles space will be an issue for an 18" sub. What vehicle would this be in?

Thursday, September 20, 2007 - 03:31 GMT do not pay 240 dollars for an L7, get a job for one month at circuit city, and theyre 80 dollars brand new for the 12"

Thursday, September 20, 2007 - 12:26 GMT ^Really I worked there just a few weeks, got some great discounts. Solo-x 18s for 450. 4 15s would have MUCH more cone area than 1 15 or 1 18, so chances are if they have the same power as you'd give the one they will be louder. I don't know how they'll sound..

Thursday, September 20, 2007 - 13:02 GMT ^Obviously depends on the tuning Of course there are other factors in there but Kicker subs aren't exactly known for their great sound quality.

Thursday, September 20, 2007 - 13:28 GMT and you have room for 4 15's? a nice 16cu^ft box would fit nice in an s10 blazer. The old comps did get loud sealed though. i had 2 15's in a 3cu^ft seald box in my jeep cherokee and they were pretty loud on 300 wrms.

Friday, September 21, 2007 - 11:56 GMT If you're looking for loud they sound good enough They let me order only a week or so after I was hired (probably why I quite in like 2-3weeks) 4 L7s and 2 2500s wouldn't set you back much at all.
