haha.. not quite man. i'm 3 months out of ACL surgery right now so skating has been limited. i was ok before i got hurt, but now it's almost like starting all over. i'm just now getting back on my board and i'm pumped about it

If you're ever in southern IL look me up and we'll skate it up.

Out of curiousity what kind of trucks do you have/prefer? i'm in the market for some new ones.. my old Phantom 2's are just about destroyed.

indy 139's are a popular choice of trucks among many people due to the fact that thay are proven to hold up...seeing how they have had the same design for nearly 30 years
but i liked destructo

please dont
think of it like this
people dont recomend purchasing a solobaric subwoofer because of poor build quality, and the same goes for phantoms, poor build quality.

^^exactly driving. affordable is the main thing here. i got some bones reds bearings for 9 bucks and they are the best bearings i've ever had, including much more expensive ones.

i just buy blanks cuz they are cheap and get the job done lol...
i dont spray paint em b/c theyll just get phucked up..
i dont see the point of paying 50 dollars for a design

i feel that there is some tension here
i hope there isnt
when you buy subwoofers...you are supporting the compnies...what is the difference?
and with the weight issue of the trucks, the indy 129 are mid and considerably lighter than the 139. and still have has the same design on those for nearly 30 years as well. they are proven to last, thats the only reason i mention them.

"i feel that there is some tension here
i hope there isnt "
ROFL-COPTER

its just a convo bro two ppl expressing there views no tensions just an arguement...

one when you buy a subwoofer you are not supporting the company, what you doing is buying a woofer that is to your liking or that fit your prefrences...a by product of this is that you are supporting the company but that is not your intention....

as for skateboards you buy what you like not by brand.. ppl who shop by brand like element baker arent supporting there company they are just trying to get there "favorite" sk8rs board...

theres no problem in buying 50 dollar decks IMHO its a waste of money, i used to buy FLIP decks b/c i thought appleyard was the best skaterever, then i realized its stupid shopping by brand b/c a blank deck can do what a FLIP deck can. Both will break in some instances the flip deck broke quicker then the blanks vica verca.....

i personaly dont know what indy 129s are or 139s are, never heard of them, i have some grind kings on my board b/c i got em free lol, the only thing i continue to buy are bearings and decks thats....

the only quality thing i do buy for my board are bearings b/c no one likes to push 100 times just to move 5 feet.

when you buy a board youare buying something that is to your liking or preferences
different companies use different kinds of wood, laminates, shapes, methods, and constructions. so if you find a board you like, you may continue to buy it because you prefer it over another. in your case you prefer a certain blank, in part because of the cost, but also because of the quality. if it was comlpete shi t you would not buy it. like you would not buy a sony subwoofer
