Anyone got any sugestions for a good amp for them? I have em hooked up to a ma audio m700 xe. 1000 watt that supposedly is tested off of a 17volt batery? I checked and it runs 2ohm sterio 500 watts each. On a 12 volt looks like only 375 to 400? I had someone suggest splicin a mono block (his was 2600 watts) but I don't want to blow them. Thanks.

you have two dual 2 ohm type-r's?

if thats what you have, i'd pick up a kicker zx1000.1....=1000 rms at 2 ohms...probably birthed at around..ehh..idk like 1100-1150...perfect for the subs!!

im somewhat new to subs and what not. would that give them 1000 rms each or 500 each with it being a mono block? and anything a little less expensive?

500 each....the hifonics you would run at 2 ohms, meaning it won't be giving it 2000 rms...i dont know what the specs are exactly though...

umm..it might be difficult to find an inexpensive amp that can do 1000 rms at 2 ohms for cheap...the kicker or the hifonics are your best bet..

ive owned hifonics brutus bxi and kicker zx models and IMO i prefer kicker over hifonics....
