My first box build! PICS! what do ya think?

Bronze Member Username: DeadrabitPost Number: 74 Registered: Jun-07 | i had bj fisher help me out with the design so it would be tuned to my liking. 37Hz. i am running it with a rockford 1000.1 power amp. 1ohms. the sub is an 18inch FI BL with all fixin's. tell me what ya think its not facing the back glass cause i dont want to break the seal but it might of broke a few seals anyways...(i guess ill see when it rains) if i get anything else it would have to be something to keep the sheet metal on the roof of my car from bending cause it flexs a good inch or 2. i am pretty happy with it. i took it to a caraudio place in town and the guy that worked there asked to see it! lol. u should of seen the look on his face. be listing to other systems and mine we are thinking it is between 145 and 150db with the sub faceing the front of the car. i think with some changed i could prolly get around 155 or something. idk.. this is my first buid and set up like this.                      so what do ya think? |

Silver Member Username: TejcurrentPost Number: 455 Registered: Apr-07 | great build-nice job on the carpet. Yeah, 147.9 with 2k watts on 2 18s in a tahoe though- while still sounding good on music? Can't complain. plus the guy had no time to mess with tuning, and the boxes have no bracing at all lol. I wouldn't be supprised to see similar numbers from this build with only one sub because of the vehicle- blazers are notorius for getting loud. I put 1/2 the sub and power from my yukon in my bros old blazer and it sounded every bit as loud. I doubt 150s without a lot of experimentation though. I'd get it metered on a t/l before guessing- there's a big difference between 145 and 150. Either way, great build - vids! |
