"Just talked to DJ, being that he said that its still being made in the factory, that means that it hasent been loaded onto the container ship yet, and the container ship takes atleast a week to get here from china, much less all the other BS they ahve to go through before they actually get the subwoofers in stock

The cone is a multi-layer laminate, that's why the bottom is just paper. I think that the top layer is a woven fiberglass mesh to sneak in at these prices:
