OT: JBL 3 1/2" Car Speakers (GTO327)

these speakers any good? if so they are replacing my dash speakers in my 81 malibu...also if they aren't any good i'd appreciate other opinions on same size speakers

3.5 speakers are a pain. Are you amping them?
I have GTO 6x9s, and they are all right. But I put Infinity ref, 3.5 in the dash and used bass blockers on em as well, as I kept blowing all the others with 30 watts. The infinitys are still holding up.

But back to the gto 3.5, Get em and see.

what makes them a pain? i only want 3.5 inch because that's what stock ones were and my malibu is a classic...don't want to modify

Then they will sound better then the stock, thats for sure.

btw, you know those are 2 ohm drivers? They may cause issues with the HU amp

no i didn't know that...i have a jvc kd-lh300 hu...would they work with that?

Not sure. Email jvc tech support. Or look at some other 3.5 speakers that are 4 ohm.
