pretty damn loud if u power it correctly and the box is made well ...

do u have proper electrical upgrades to use a amplifier to actually power that subwoofer?

I think kicker says to use 1" with the 18" solo. I wouldn't go any smaller than 3/4... imo

I have seen a couple boxes made for the solo x at a local shop and its a pretty involed enclosure. Like Mike said they double baffled and braced the crap out of it, and used 1" mdf for strength. The box was about 10 cubes and it was heavy as hell. Not a box for a beginner.

thanks pike n mike i planed on double baffle fiberglassing the inside and bracing the crap out of it in that other box build i liked that threaded rod idea and also using the triangles to brace so it goes to the side this aint my first box built but it is the biggest and most complex so anyone have any good ideas for aeroports for making it sound good and then another to hit that high # in comps 4 spl thanks guys
