well put. a lot of people don't want what a spl system really is, they want what the think an spl system is.

Your Solo X will get very loud for a single sub setup. The thing that sucks about them is their inefficiency and that's all due to the amount of motor force needed to drive that heavy and oversized cone.Since you're going to throw 5k rms at the sub there won't be any problems getting it moving.I really don't see you getting an 8 CU FT box in that Cougar from the dimensions you gave me though. If I were anyone I'd stay away from the Solo X and 5k rms considering that you're installing all of this in a small car. That's going to be so much weight in there once it's all completed.Expect to see terrible gas mileage,a damaged transmission and horrible handling. If I were you I'd run two 12'' subs that require less than 2K rms each because that'll be easier to support as far as charging goes but since you already have a Solo X and are set on it I guess will just have to see how it all works out.
