Yo, i have one JL 13w7. Currently i am running a power accoustic amp 1500 watts peak. I am looking to get a better amp. What is the best amp for $700 dollars or less? Thanks

The only thing about a W7 is that it is a dual 1.5 ohm sub. which means it can only be wired for a 3 ohm or .75 ohm load. My recommendation is to get an amp that puts out 1000 watts at a 3 ohm load, which would be a JL 1000/1 (perhaps on ebay), it is a good match, or any good class D that will put out 1300-1400 at a 2 ohm load and 650-700 at a 4 ohm load

I concur, and not because "It's a JL!" but because the JL's output is regulated, and you're working with a DVC 1.5 ohm per coil sub, so you end up with a 3 ohm load.
It's more difficult to match another amp to that load and get ideal power for the sub.

I wish in a way JL would use more conventional loads for their subs.
