Hooking up an MP3 player/ipod to a HU?

New member Username: Vivi2000Post Number: 1 Registered: Aug-07 | I have a Panasonic HU and Today I tried to hook up my mp3 player to it so i didnt have to use CD's anymore. I took out the HU and on the back sticking out there were 2 wires, white and red. I have a cord that goes from a headphone jack to stereo output through the red/white cables. When I plugged them into the HU nothing happened and even when i fiddled with it i couldnt get it to play. Here are pics of the HU and the back of it. Bronze Member Username: SqwowCalifornia Post Number: 30 Registered: Aug-07 | yes it will not take that input, the red and white preout are for amps, and also you got the older panasonic version hu, the 2006 and up models support ipod connect via special ipod cable like this |

Silver Member Username: Kpa2727Post Number: 542 Registered: May-07 | find the aux input i seeu have 3 rca sets i can gurentee one says aux in. if it does you get a rca to headphone jack at radio shack, set the raio to aux and jam away. |

New member Username: Vivi2000Post Number: 2 Registered: Aug-07 | I figured out that that is a CD changer input. But i have been looking and i cant find a way to convert it to a aux input through any devices. I may just need to get a new HU even though I like how simple this one is. |
