Friday, August 03, 2007 - 04:54 GMT So, for approx $200 I can get a new Rockford t5001bd putting out 1000RMS or I can get a used Memphis MCD1000d rated at 1100RMS. What amp would you prefer for a pair of RL-i 8s?

Friday, August 03, 2007 - 05:01 GMT 1300 would probably be too much for those subs. Any other opinions?

Friday, August 03, 2007 - 05:09 GMT I'd get the Memphis and keep the gains lower. Same price, same power, but cleaner signal FTW!

Friday, August 03, 2007 - 10:00 GMT yeah, give yourself some room, in case you wanted to switch to something different in the future, plus like Colby said: cleaner signal at peak
