so i was in circuit city tonight getting a cheap amp hookup kit. for my old azz rampage audiovox amp for my speakers. so anyway this kind of young like i'd say 7 kid is in the sub woofer area. he talked to some guys already so i asked what he was lookin at. the dude tells me he wanted some rock solid bass like kick ya in the throat. andd was gonna get 150 rms sony xpload subs tellin me they were rated at 1500 watts peak. i asked what he was told as good he said jensen, sony, and so on. i'm like thinkin are you kidding? so i told him if he was buyin cc which he said he rather do then buy online so i told him 3 brands that they carried, eclipse, kicker and mtx i suggested the kicker, and eclipse amps prob kickers and eclipse for the speakers amp and sub amp. but he refused to build his own box so i said go with the kicker cvrs in the kicker ported box over anything there. cause i figured any sub he got thrown in a pre fab would sound like crap. but at least the kicker box gives him a fair shot. anyone think that it was bad advice? what's your opinion?
you all must be noobs,he for sure should have got those 1500w sonys i got 2 12" and 1 15" sonly and im puttin 2500w to each of them from 3 differant pyle amps in a pre fab bandpass box and it pounds
this dude was nuts, he said he had a path finder and i told him no more then 800 rms max or he will start killin his eletrical system and first he's thinkin 200 watts rms will pound then is like oh so why can't i put in a thousand rms or so and at that point i just said eff it and explained why not to. yet he insisted on this or that which he couldn't even afford. i tried to explain setting the gain due to first install. but once he cut me off i walked away and thought go be a sony fan boy effem.
i left out the 1, hes 17. i would fix it but theres no damn edit button. plus i got a wireless keyboard the batts are dyin. so i have to revise every post not all button presses go through on it.
haha, I work at CCity so i go through that Sh!t everyday. Hell I'm here now. I tried to tell this guy to get the cvrs but he insisted that the jesen in the bandbass box was 10 times better. I just let people buy what they want now, i dont have time to keep trying to convice them whats better.
