I comes on alpine and pioneer decks and it enhances the music. apparently it doesn't add anything, it just rearranges what's already there to make it sound better. I love it personally

BBE is a patented process that basically corrects the problems that happen to music after it is processed and goes through the audio chain. It restores what is lost and kind of gives back a focus and clarity to the music. Some would say it just brightens the sound but that's not true. It is a full range process but the highs are all most people notice. I use BBE's Sonic Maximizer in my studio and it is something I use alot for cleaning things up that get muddied down along the way.

Not a good idea to use the LOUD feature. Causes an in-balance in the frequencies. You get better sound without it on since all frequencies are balanced.

Your lower freqs and your higher freqs are boosted while all the freqs in-between are not. Its similar to using the bass boost on your amp for the lower freqs. If your not careful, you can send a clipped signal to your subs. Try re-tuning your system without the loud button and im sure you will notice a difference in the sound quality.

No loudness.. Logan, Use the EQ and boost the frequencies for the comps 125hz and up. I use mine all on flat and contour comps frequencies only. Now what is BMX/COMP? I was using BBE but with the efficiency of my sub going through the roof with the sealed install I haven't turned it on. When I get my two pairs of CVL comps and install the 900.4, I will give it a whirl. Polo..
