ok i have two 10" kicker CVR andif i play them for so long they cut out what could be the problem? Also there in a bandpass box

vc = voice coil (i think cvr's only come in dual 2 or 4ohm vc), and what amp and its' specs. and why a bandpass? willing to bet it's a prefab bandpass?

What is the impedence on the sub. It usually says it on the magnet

Like "4 ohm nominal" or "dual 4 ohms"

prefab but i couldnt pass it up i need a new box and it was 20 dollars its selectable 2 or 4 ohm but i have it wired to where it comes out to be 1 ohm i have a 600.1 hifonics amp (know its not the greates but it has to work for now thats all i had the money for)

is it overheating? clipping perhaps?

and is this the system that's louder than a pair of solo xs'?:-)

well the amp stays on but the subs cut out and will not come back on untill i tunr them off for a while if there over heating what could i do to fix it

If they were overheating you could possibly smell it which is bad. also next time this happens if you dont get it fixed by then, feel the sub's and see if they feel hot when they shut off.
