Two 12's --- what amp should i use.

Ralph	Posted on Sunday, July 06, 2003 - 00:57 GMT im thinking of getting two 12's with a max of 1000w and a RMS of 500 per sub. i can only run them in 1 or 4 ohm load.. so which amp should i get to have them pound to full potential?? i dont need the name brand, i just need the specs.. like should it be 500w RMS monoblock. im confused because each sub runs at 500 RMS, so does that mean that the amp needs to be a 1000 watt amp? does it get split into both speakers? email me if u have some answers, or post here.. but i may be outta town this following week. maple_soldier@hotmail.com someone please answer.. need this info really soon. gotta build this sys. to win a bet wif my brother
