Don't do it Shane.

So many people have regretted doing it. You think you don't got enough money to get a new amp, wait till you have to buy a new trunk lid and get it painted because your flip flop trunk will start leaking. I was thinking about doing it to my car, but i asked several car related forums and people said they highly reccomend not doing it.

Here's one thread I asked in:

Nick, everyone else is saying yes, and why should it leak? IF its done right, whenever you want to close it normally, you just put the second set of bolts back in, and it should seal as good as it did before

If I was using a kit, yeah, I could see, but I'm gonna be using the factory holes. The only modifications are cutting out that piece shown in the pics, and putting a washer behind the bolts that stay in all the time. I'm gonna do it, I don't see any reason why it should leak, especially if I can do it without having to remove the lid

Try it, if it does leak it might be too late tho :-(

Wanna know what happens to MDF when it's mixed with water?

Ask John 4 Wheeler.
