Silver Member Username: TatonkaPost Number: 598 Registered: Mar-07 | trevor is noob and too poor to afford the power it takes to run a BL or btl :D |
New member Username: Trevor_rBastrop, L.A Us Post Number: 5 Registered: Jul-07 | lol shut up u cant afford either noob thats y i hit 144.1 with ssd 15 in a dialy box |

Gold Member Username: Tremor1127Team Fi Car Audio [:-] Post Number: 1995 Registered: Aug-06 | you can go cheap and get SSDs, they pack good spl. the BLs and BTLs are awesome though. ive got two BLs and they sound great for rock and of course rap (xplods sound good for rap ). if you crank on the volume though they will peel your face off... |
Silver Member Username: Cplaya280Quakertown, PA USA Post Number: 564 Registered: Oct-05 | so is the btls better the the bls im guessing the btls can handle alot more and what would be a good tuned box for the 15" BTL |
Silver Member Username: Mrskullz1Brooklyn, New York Post Number: 701 Registered: Feb-07 | yea..ur going to need to throw some serious power at the btls...u got an amp yet? |
Silver Member Username: Cplaya280Quakertown, PA USA Post Number: 566 Registered: Oct-05 | no i actully need a good amp i guess has to be 1ohm stable all i got now is a kicker zx1500.1 which is not 1ohm stable |
Gold Member Username: Nyyfan13Fi SSD USA Post Number: 5586 Registered: Jul-06 | could just get a dual 1 ohm sub and wire it to 2 ohms.... that zx1500.1 would be good for the BL with some options added on to it....thats not enough pwoer for a btl.... |
Silver Member Username: Cplaya280Quakertown, PA USA Post Number: 568 Registered: Oct-05 | wat is good enough power for the btl then that isnt to expensive like $500 amp |
Bronze Member Username: Noob101Taylorsville, Utah USA Post Number: 41 Registered: Jul-07 | Now this is probably a big noob question but how exactly do you wire a dual 2 sub to one ohm? |

Silver Member Username: Cplaya280Quakertown, PA USA Post Number: 571 Registered: Oct-05 | i gotta find a good amp to power the btl first which i cant think of any amps that are 1ohm and that is 2000rms or more which im assuming the btl would need 2000rms inorder to be deadly |
Gold Member Username: Nyyfan13Fi SSD USA Post Number: 5590 Registered: Jul-06 | kicker kx2500.1 rockford fosgate t20001bd many more just the first 2 to my head....hope you have a very healthy elecetrical system, if you dont, then expect to spend around another 800 to beef it up |
Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 5849 Registered: Jun-04 | 600 to 800 rms on a stock beefy alt. is about the limit without zappin stuff eventually |
Gold Member Username: InsearchofbassPost Number: 5850 Registered: Jun-04 | you want some help chris we have an spl meter ...we live in york pa hopefully not too far from you |
Bronze Member Username: TejcurrentPost Number: 78 Registered: Apr-07 | My btls were great on 2krms, even with options. They were MUCH better with 4000. the kicker 2500 would be good, rf 3000, or 4000 memphis 2k or 4k soundstream6500 cactus sounds 4,5 or 7k DD z1, z2 Sundown 3000 atomic 5000 vfl 400.1 There are many more out there though, that's just a good few off the top of my head. pretty much all those amps are over 500 though, even used you're lucky to get almost any of those for < 750. When I replaced my L7 15 with a BTL 18 on the same hifonics 2006d it was night and day, sq wise as well as spl wise. The btl sounds much tighter and controlled, while a great deal louder. |
