He drives around with the window down all the time. It was just to see how high this thing could hit rob. Besides, it actully sounds the same by ear with the door closed. So let me ask you a question, do you drive around the neighborhood with a meter constantly on?

Wrong.I like Meca's way of metering as well.Dbdrag is the hardest to win in though. All the big boys compete in DB Drag and when most of them walk into other forms of competition such as Meca or Usaci and they end up dominating all year around,I wonder why that is...

I personnaly dont care for metering it in any other way then how i would listen to it, windows up and then again with windows down. Thats all i need to know, the only thing i would do extra with that is just change positioning of the mic(headrest, kick, dash, ect) just to get the general idea of how loud it is and where.

I think all the ways of metering have their own merit but we always meter windows up 2000 rpm at the dash when we post our scores on ecoustics unless we state otherwise.......good score nick

Thanks Chad. Ands for the record, with everything sealed up and it on the dash, he was still doing low 143s. Overall it is a good daily install that gets loud imo. Thanks for the feedback ;)

what sarcasm. even if he did open the door and metered at the kick its only off by a db or 2 so it is still a good number considering he only has one sub.

Chad,I'm sorry gonna bust you out this time even if you get mad at me.We were just talking about metering non legal the other day.You were even saying it was a joke pretty much and you could have hit a 156 no problem,if you want to act like we didn't talk about it it's fine.If you're mad at me for calling you out on this one that's fine too.Either you were lying to me about how you felt when we talked about metering or you're lying or being untruthful with how you feel now.You and I talked about metering non legal being lame and how it's easy to put up a number and now you're saying something totally different man...what way do you really feel Chad?

rob i never said i approve the way he metered his car. honestly to me unless you meter it at the dash with the windows up, it just isn't right for me. but who am i to come on his thread to critize the way he metered?

now if the title of the thread was "which way is the best way to meter" or something like that then i'll come on and say my opinion.

i really don't see why you had call me out on this one man. did it really bother you the fact that i said congrats to this guy? if so then sorry man. lets just move on.

I hit the exact same score (car sealed subs in trunk) as you in db drag off the same hz (43hz) off of my 2 12" subs.

I hit the same score that competition 3 times in a row...could not beat it!! Came in 2nd place street B

I did 142.3 before I swapped amps so I want to see what I hit when I run as with my old amp, car running, I did 145.9 so I want to see what I can hit with my new amp car running!
