hey guys im new here but i have 2 2007 kicker 12 cvr's at 400 max rms each and a profile 2000 watt amp when bridged puts out 965 rms.. my question is what box type would be best for me, i have plenty of room for either one in my tahoe, i want the best sound quality possible but i want it to get loud too

best sq, sealed. but i'd port them around 35hz., cvr's really don't have good sq to begin with.

yeah im leaning toward a ported box but it brings my power handling down to 300 rms each and my amp claims to put out way more than that, will the subs be ok, also i listen to all types of music

set the gains correctly and you'll be fine.

I completely agree with ctmike. Ported would be the best for those subs and if you watch the gains on that amp and don't get too happy with the bass boost those subs should be able to handle it.

Ported is the way to go with CVR's. That gets my vote.

Ported. I'd go sealed only for SQ, and kickers aren't really known for SQ.
