I'd have them facing the trunk and definitely ported if you wanna get super loud. I kept mine sealed bc i was trying to maximize sq, but i think 100 or so people on here, ca.com, and roe.com have 12" ssd's and yuo can basically contact any of them or hell, contact scott or nick i think at fi (go to sound solutions audio forum because they navigate those forums) and at least 20 people should be able to hook you up with box plans.
