audiocontrol epicenter, PA has an epicenter too that I think I remember Chad Lee saying was exactly the same as the audiocontrol

I have an epicenter and love it to death, I'd suggest you try one

or the epic-160.

its the indash unit of the epicenter, you just grab the knob and turn until you cant take it anymore... :-)

ill sell mine for half of what ebay sells theirs for...

ya, thats the epicenter.

it works great but you need a remote for it really. the epic-160 is the indash version, so the knob is right there...

and the epic-160 has a voltage meter and db meter.

db meter isnt accurite but it is consistant. meaning if you get a 3db gain on it, you really got a 3db gain probably. BUT if it says 147 it may really be 141 or 145 or 183 or whatever. but it will say 147 OVER AND OVER AND OVER, its consistant.

"Processors will not increase SPL......."

hmmm, i would have to say the epic-160 would increase your SPL by atleast .1db, making that claim false. turn that knob and tell me its not building more cabin pressure...

im human though, so its possible that im wrong...

There's nothing a signal processor can do that will give you more SPL than simply playing a test tone at full volume. If they could, all the competitors would use them.

Maxx - I love mine b/c I can mess with the bass on songs by turning a knob. It centers signals it receives around a single frequency and sends that to teh subs.

doesn't epicenters make for a "more" dirty signal? or is that not noticable.

i think it acts like a line driver so im sure you can clip your amps/subs using it.

i dont think you will notice anything signal related unless you are just clipping your subs.

it doesnt make every song sound better. but alot it will, especially rock. it will also reveal almost non existant bass lines in songs.

theres bad @$$ bass lines in songs that people never hear unless they use something like this.
