I want a 12inch subwoofer. What should I buy? I want something that dwells away from the Circuit City scene.

You see with ED, Diamond, Massive, Concept, and Orion I can get for 100 dollars or below. I am just wondering which is a good pick with good SQL for my money.

After looking at that site. What in your opinion is the brand I should buy. It is so tough being picky these days.

I am also in the market for one of those. What do you think of this. I have read some Diamond tutorials and it said that 350 is adequate RMS for long lasting performance. This amp provides 360 and one thing mainstream company amps provide is truthful amp rms, unlike Volfenhag or Pyle.

I am not a fan of pioneer amps. What is your budget for a amp?

200 bucks using the site you were just on. Give or take 50. I think I can get something adequate after looking at prices. What would you say is an affordable amp that would nicely power this Diamond. My buddy works at Circuit city and could provide me with an MTX or Kicker for 50 to 60 percent off.

if u can get 50-60% off the zx750.1 get that, and then you'll have to decide what kinda setup you want. Sq (sound quality) SPL (loudness) SQL (a little bit of both) Then we can help you. But a $100 budget isnt much to work with.

I have the sub picked out for 70bucks. Diamond Audio D312D4. The amp I want at 2ohm or 4ohm load putting out about 360 to 400 watts rms. I know 2 and 4 ohm rms is different that is why I can either get a less expensive amp that can yield me 400 at 2ohms or a more expensive amp that can yield me 400 at 4ohms. 200 bucks is more than enough to get a decent amp at the sites that have been named earlier in the thread. My last question is: Is Diamond Audio better than Mach 5, ED, Concept, Orion, or Massive?

do some more research and save more money, trust me you will be much happier. Do you need a box? I hope you dont get a prefab That can make the best sub in the world sound like sh!t.

No no prefab. I am just going to probably purchase a prefab, but with matching statistics to the sub. I have built my own in the past however. Should I do that? I have been researching for weeks. I am just looking for some honest opinions.

If I shouldn't buy a prefab, what .5 cuft sealed enclosure should I get? I really don't want to deal with putting it together myself.

Custom box FTW a sealed box is a piece of cake to build. Where do u live? Sombody would prolly build and ship one for under 50$ on here, not much wood or time needed for .5cu, and it should be pretty light so shipping wont kill you
