ok, I love my setup, sounds great..especially inside...however, when playing at full volume, with the bass slider on the radio all the way up, I hear trunk rattle. I had noticed that the license plate only had the top 2 screws in it, and it was rattling. So I put the 2 bottom screws in, and that helped that. However, its a Dodge Neon SXT which means that there is a spoiler on the trunk. The spoiler seems to rattle a lot, can I just tighten it down some more, or do I need to do something else to stop it. Also, would just putting soundproofing on the trunk lid help stop it from rattling, or will I have to do the whole trunk?

ok first off, its nearly impossible to get something tight enough to stop the rattle, but yes get some dynomat extreme or whatever you prefer and do the trunk lid, if possible do the whole trunk, helped me alot and made it louder

Wolfman I think ive about mastered this by experiment after experiment now lol

I sound deadened my trunk LID, then all around the edges I stuck thick weather foam there. Eliminated all my rattles and I have a small spoiler as well. So say this smiley is the trunk lid you want to weather foam the outside circle

I have 4 screws in my liscense plate and also lined the back of it with thin weather foam.

Make sure you tape all around the edges of the sound deadener so it doesn't stick to anything.

Only rattle I have is where the window meets the rear deck and the roof-lining where the window meets.

Looks to me like eDead or fatmat. Wolf, fill up all of the hollow areas of the trunk lid with some expanding foam... smooth it out to create a flat surface and then apply your deadening over the top. Then do Mike's trick and like he said don't forget to dampen the back of your license plate.
