S H I T !

(thread got removed or moved... whatever)

Anyways:

The voltage meter on my amp reads as low as 11.8 at times (this is a alternator question)
For the most part, with the car on it reads 12.7 - but when the bass hits hard (you know what I mean) I've seen it drop as low as 11.8! I'm running a 900watt 1ohm stable amp at approximately 0.65ohms... (6) 4ohm voice coils
Tell me what are the dangers and so forth - also, what affect does running my vehicle at that voltage do?

Thanks so much, everyone!!!!!!!

it'll eventually strain the alternator and you'll be clipping your subs at such a low voltage. Amp would be in danger as well.

a capacitor would help the life of the amp and reduce the distortion (from clipped signals) on the subs - right?

BUT...
it would also put MORE strain on the alternator - right?

please correct me where I'm wrong, and any other additional knowledge you have regarding the subject... please share as well.

thanks.

oh yeah... one last thing:
is running the amp at approximately 0.65 ohms (1 ohm stable amp) gonna fry the AMP or the FUSES??? Big difference, huh?

... now that I think about it:
does frying the fuses indirectly affect the amp as well?

(valid questions, right?)
I would post this all in the amplifier section, but MY 2 year experience in this forum is that all the good helpers kick it in the subwoofer section. Sorry administrator... but please don't move this thread!

Thanks.
