1500-2k per sub. anything 3k-4k at 1 ohm would work. let us know a budget.

i agree! people act just as if these are still american made and simply better parts. companys lose a certain level of quality control and overseeing of the product when they offsource....

Ok now im really pissed after seeing those prices. I paid 374 shipped for my HD3 15, now the new ones are 100 dollars cheaper. WTF! Its kinda funny how everyone is trying to sell there old HD3s now tho. Now what if i want to recone my old HD3? Will they be able to recone it with the new HD3 soft parts? Or do you think they still have old recone kits?

The SD2 and SD2.5 will still be made in Oklahoma. The new logo is posted on the thread on caraudio.com

The new HDC3 will also be offered in a build-it-yourself "KIT" in which you can upgrade to American spiders and coils or change suspension.

The cheaper prices don't make sence to me. Should of kept the old prices and USA made and it would of average out. Cheaper prices means cheaper products and if the prices of material are going up then why are the SD2 and the SD2.5 staying the same and being built in Oklahoma. My 2 cents

My 3 cents

Audioque lowered there prices cause now they can... Eva time there orders were back ordered, they would get swamped with serious amounts of orders... they made there money and prolly other factors, going into it.... Look at AA, prices have seemed to drop and we expect nothing but good comming from them,,

Fi great prices, and there subs are amazing.. not many subs for 500 that can handle 4000 watts + out there...Dam only if Fi made speakers and amps....

All companies go thru this... The first release there product at high prcies in a way.. then when they sell enuff and all goes well you see price drops... like the 360, and samsung tv's and many other things

Price Drop = Good, also equals more business

300 for an 18 is a beautiful thing.. and it compared to the old ones looks beastily

They could have also found other ways and parts that a cheaper for them or the get deals on them or make them themselves.. which leads to price drops and such

Also everything is cheaper in china.. and other countries.. it cost 5-10 dollars(maybe a lil more) to make a jordan and 140 to sell

Like I said if the material prices went up then why are the SD2 and the SD2.5 the same price and still being built in Oklahoma. And there are a sh!t load of subs that can handle 4000+ watts. And that 4000+ is peak power.

NAme a sub.. that is 500 dollars...

IT might be peak power, but there seems to be no problems..And it isnt just chad and steve that were doing that... Scott Told me many others

Like i said they sold so many of the other ones, now they can afford to bring down prices.. i learned this in Econimcs, supply and demand, the more demand the lower the prices...When less people want them the prices go up

We can reduce the prices because it is much cheaper to source off shore. It is much more expensive to build the HD3 in house. We work on a very small margin and will continue to do so. The pricing on both the HD3 and HDC3 reflect the actual production cost plus our operating margin. We pass the savings on the production of the HDC3 to the enduser.

The SD and SD2.5 will continue to be built in Oklahoma because we stocked 1000's of parts for those models and they are easy to build. When those parts are used they will be made off shore.

Subs like the HD3 are in a constant evolution and parts are made and purchased on an as needed basis.

Most subs sold on the American market today are either made off shore or assembled from a large percentage of off shore parts ,if not all the parts. We tell you up front the origin of the parts and assembley and pass on the savings.

Thanks for the reply above.

When the parts of the SD2 and the SD2.5 are gone. What would the prices be for the overseas SD2 and the SD2.5?

Like i said... that is a form of Supply and Demand

Good thing i didnt sleep in Economics

Why did u name the Fi BTL.. that is what we were talkin about

I guarantee... if u put 4000 rms goin into some of those, they will not be able to hold.. sure they say 4000max, but mostly that is what they can burp... i'm talkin about daily driver 4000 watts...

Now i no there are subs out there that can do that...like the RE MT's and Soundstream XXX... but those arent 500 dollers...

RD alpha might be able to take that much pounding, but it would fail at one point... when it comes to price and wattage BTL rains Supreme...

BUILT TO LAST... this is just my 2 cents and opinion... dont hold me 4 it

i dont know why the globally sourced parts on these subs is such a big deal. almost all of the parts in our electronics, toys, clothes, shoes, and now even american cars are using globally sourced parts. i dont hear anyone crying that alpine products are made and assembled offshores. its fantastic that a company admits that they use import parts and pass on the savings. they look like good subs i have never heard them in person though. =( *the MTs used to be around 500.
