I have been trying to find someone that is running the pioneer avh-p6600dvd and also the cdib-100ii ipod adapter with the unit. i would like to get the adapter for my 6600, and everywhere i find says it will work, but it works with "external unit control." anyone know what exactly that means? do you have to control the music through the ipod? i want it to be controlled through the touch screen but i'm not sure if it will work like that or not. does anyone have this set up or have experience with this? thanks
Where are you getting the "external unit control" info? Everywhere I've checked, including the Pioneer website, says it's compatible. Once the IB-100ii is connected, the iPod controls lock, so if it works at all, you'd have to control it with the HU.
