i'm going to be upgrading my system, and was wondering if i'd need to get a ho alternator; i've got a 2002 pontiac grand prix sedan w/ a stock 100a alt.

Sundown SAE 1000d-
1000 x 1 watts @ 1 ohm
600 x 1 watts @ 2 ohms
300 x 1 watts @ 4 ohms
Sundown SAX 100.2
100 x 2 watts @ 4 ohms
200 x 2 watts @ 2 ohms
400 x 1 watts @ 4 ohms bridged
CDT Classic CL-e51
Power Handling: 100 watt RMS
100Hz high-pass
Frequency Response: 65-20kHz
Sensitivity: 91.0 dB
Impedance: 4 Ohm
RD Audio Classics (2 12")-i can't find the specs. on these.

if it's in the budget, go for it, if not, it can wait, but make sure you get a premier HU with a voltage meter or a standalone voltage meter to make sure it doesn't drop too low. If your voltage goes below 11 when your car is on, you could be putting wayy to much strain on that alt

it'd be to your advantage to do the big 3

i plan on doing the big 3, as for the hu, i was going to get the kenwood excelon x591, i know it's not premier, but would it still work? i really don't have the money to get a ho alt. w/ the set-up that i'd like

i'm sure you'll be fine, idk if that HU has the voltage meter, but it's an excelon, ya would think it would.

actually im sure you will be fine because I ahve a zx1500 and a zx350 on a stock 124 A and there's only one time it got it to drop below 12.5 with the car on and that was with bass at like 4/6 and volume 42/62
