ok, i have a 1992 pontiac grand prix. it wont crank. lol. we put a brand new starter on it today and it still wont crank. we think it might be the ignition coils because the starter turns and everything but it wont start up. its like the spark plugs are not getting any electricity. can someone tell me how to find the ignition coils on my car? thanks to anyone that can help me out. this car is really making me mad. :-)

Take off your distributor cap and check for cracks. Then, look at the contacts underneath and look for corrosion and rust. These parts are cheap and if you have any doubt at all just replace them. If you unhook any spark plug wires make sure to tape and mark them to avoid utter horror later.

why don't you check the spark plugs first, just take the plugs out ground them to the block and have some1 turn the car over to see if they get spark, have you ever thought that it might be a fuel problem.

Sounds like the cap and/or rotor is bad.
