hey! no fair, damn internets down at the house and people r bashin my 8's...
anyways... my opinion..don't know about others, but my RE8's hit plenty hard with the 300 watts thats going to them right now, can't wait to get the PG amp and see what 425 CLEAN watts sounds like. FYI...IF I put the back of the seat on the drivers side down (thats where the amp is mounted), they hit hard enough that my rearview mirror is not only useless, but moves so that its facing downward.

and btw Bradley> do you know anything about fighting with a sword? I seriously doubt you could make me use it as an enem@...lol

and actually, I would think its more like 8 inch subs>Sony subs....lol

lol i was lookin at the interior on my car n it looke like i have enought room for 1 cubic feet of airspace

should i split the subs -----(each gets .5) doing that makes the subs cancel out unless they are wired right i guess cuz a freind of mines subs did that it sounded great at low volume but fought each other when it got louder

Seal them together (share air)

Or port them high like 40+hz i need Midbass like new cars thats why im really running them

my opinion> put them together in a ported box...just make sure they're wired in phase with each other...but thats not a LOT of space, i think my RE's are in a 1.3 cube box, if I remember right

ok, I'm gonna have to wait till the internet is back up at home, then I can post the pics..I have 2 of the RE8's on 300 watts....and they get plenty loud. I'm eventually gonna get a PG Xenon 400.1 amp that puts out 425 watts..so that would be 212 1/2 watts per sub...wonder how much louder that will be. BTW, if I lay the back seat down on the drivers side (thats where my amp is mounted)...it gets loud enough in the car that my rearview mirror moves to where its pointing DOWN all the time...lol
but back on subject...I'll post the pics and measure the box to let you know the dimensions..once the internet is back up at the house.should be back up soon, they were working on it at lunchtime today.

damnit Joe, those are what I'm wanting now...Canaan said the shop where he works can get them for me for $135 each, I could use the same box, but would need a more powerfull amp (say 900-1000 watts), because they are 450rms each...lol)

no fair Joe, but your 8's are gonna be on only 100 watts each? why? those 1508's can take 500 each easy, put a damn 1000 watt amp in there and give them the power they deserve. hell, even if you have it wired to 1ohm, it only puts out 400 watts...give those DD's the power!!

A Sundown 100.2 on each would put out an underrated 400 watts per sub @ 4ohms.

specs are 100watts x 2channels @ 4 ohms
200watts x 2channels @ 2 ohms
or 400watts x 1channel @ 4 ohms

so, my bad I didn't realize that he had 2 of the Sundowns...so each amp puts out 400 watts bridged. so yeah, I gotcha...no fair more wattage, better subs! btw Joe, what did you pay for those 1508's?
