How are the Alpine Type X's? Are they better than the type R's? Give your opinions on them.

Alright, well I plan on getting 2 Type R's, and my friend is getting 1 Type X. What would be some good amps that could be used for these, budget amps if possible.

the difference in sq is night and day. the type x sounds so much better. i've had both in my car and i can tell you the sq is awesome.

How is the sq on the type R's? I have heard it was pretty good. I was going to get a Type X but my friend is getting 1 and I don't want to have the same setup as him, so how would the Type R's be compared to it.

well the type Rs sounds pretty good too. but the type x sounds awesome in the upper bass frequencies as well as low. since the upper freq sounds good, it blends well with the rest of the speakers.

Ya, I will most likely get a type X then. How is the loudness on it? Also, what amp do you recommend?

now i am not really recomending that sub corey. if its a toss up between the type r or the type x then the type x.

but if you want clean and be loud, i would suggest the treo ssi. its around the same price and you will like it way more.

but i was getting the type x, i would use the kicker zx1000.1 to power that sub.

just in case you don't go over to caf, cadence is having a caf.com member only sale right now. you could pick up a cadence 1000d amp for $199 shipped, brand new with 2 year warranty. going to pick up one myself tomorrow.

np corey. you can go to www.treoonline.com and get theier phone number. then ask them where the nearest dealer is.

also i believe renegadesrun sells treo subs as well. you can talk to him. he'll give you a killer price if he has them.
