I ordered this last week for my install, and I just wanted to post a link because I thought it was such a great deal. All the wiring looks very good, and for the price it's a steal. Not to mention FREE SHIPPING. I have no affiliation with this company at all, so I am purely doing this because I was 100% satisfied with my product and customer service. So if anyone needs some wiring check this out. You get a LOT for $30.

Enjoy!

Any idea on the strand count?

Is it TRUE 1/0ga?

Does it come as a packaged kit or loose wires?

nice, i use alot of raptor because that is what i get at my buddies shop (he owns the 8 walled soundstream 12s in the pic ive posted on here before)

i go to one shop and their 1/0 gauge fuse holders are 75 + tax. i go right up the street to his shop and get a raptor fuse holder, basically identical, for less than 18 bucks out the door. to me thats 60 bucks i can save and never look back...

For 30 bucks it could be pure casing and it would still be a good deal.

I don't have a strand count, but I compared it to the 1/0 gauge audiopipe wire I had laying around and it seemed bigger. When you look at it, the wire looks very small inside the jacket, but then as soon as you strip the jacket off it REALLY all comes out at you. They compact it very well in there, so don't let that fool you.

And it comes as loose wire. Looks like they just cut it off a spool.

The way I looked at it though, for $30 you can't go wrong. It was $30 shipped with no extra charges at all. And you do get a lot. The only thing I wish they through in were fuses and a distrobution block. But that I already had laying around so it wasn't a problem for me.

you can look at that deal like this...

you pay $1.75 per foot for the 17 ft. of power wire, and get everything else free...

id like to see the RCAs that come with that kit if possible...

That looks like a great deal. Might be worth picking up several and turning them around on Ebay. Or even breaking it apart and selling it seperately.

I actually saw that same kit about a couple of weeks ago I was thinking the same thing as you Paul. I could just sell the power and ground wires on CA.com and make more than what I paid for it.

HAHA did you? That's a lot of wiring. Let me know how it goes for you. May take you awhile to sell all of that on the forums, but you should be able to make a nice little profit if you don't sell it too cheap.

From Showride's link ppl are making $20 off each kit. Not to mention they charged $30 for shipping. My guess as a kit they're taking $35 profit each. If I break the kit up I could easily double my money. Cost of wire is going up and the free shipping is just too sweet.

The way I look at it is wire will always be wire. It's not like buying a trendy sub that nobody wants in 9 months. In 2 years ppl will still need wire right? Imagine the prices then. That same kit could go for $100. I still have speaker wire laying around 10+ years old. Still use it today.

I only wish I had the opportunity to buy a shore house 30 years ago when they were going for $10,000. Same property today is 1/2 mil.

Out of proportion comparison but you get the idea.

Yeah, I got it already and I think it is a steal for the price.

The 0/1 gauge looks to have a small strand count inside the jacket, but then when you strip it the wire all comes out. I was a bit skeptical at first when looking at it, but after using it I was like WOW. I mean it isn't the same as some of the higher strand count 0/1 guage but it is pretty damn close, and the price is just SO cheap I felt it was a great buy.

u wont believe when i opened up this thread & saw Raptor wire since it was today a bud of mine bought some 4g & 0g in this same brand i dunno if a different series but man the actual amt of wire is ROBBERY since the insulation is thick fooling u to believe its high quality - the 0g looked closer to 2g

IMO - i hope u r getting a good set since to me it looks like p00p wire .....

Take the jacket off

I thought the same thing. I compared it to other 0 gauge I had laying around and was like WTF. But then when I stripped it and all the wire came out, it seemed to have close to as many strands. I think raptor just really compacts their wire inside those thick jackets, but when comparing actualy strand count I bet it is somewhat close.

Daaaamn. Where were you guys yesterday??? Lol. I'm not worried. ^^^That kit on Ebay is selling. Worst case scenario is I have 40' of 4ga per kit. That wire alone is worth more than $30. With all the extras and free shipping it's STILL a good deal. They're on their way so when it gets here I'll break a kit open and see. So what's a good strand count for 1/0GA anyway???

Are you going to count lol?

And it is $30. That much wire for $30 is a good deal even if it wasn't true 0/1 gauge. But judging by looks alone, after unwrapped it seemed to have close to as many strands as other 0/1 gauge i had laying around.

And I will run a test on it today. I will see how well it fits into the SAZ-1000D terminal. It accepts 0 gauge, and if there is a LOT of room left over then it should have more strands.

Well the kits arrives. Not bad for about 25 hours after ordering.

I gotta say fellas I'm no wire expert but it seems to be pretty good stuff. Packaged well and as specified on their site. According to the chart^^^ 0(1/0) gauge wire should measure 0.324861 of an inch. Using a caliper I got .315. The jacket IS thick but the wire size is there. In no way is this 4ga wire. And I'm not counting strands either, I'm not that bored lol. The jacket is even thicker for the 3' piece but the wire is also about .315 of an inch. The only beef I have is the terminals were missing out of one kit. An email to customer service will take care of that. This is well worth $30 shipped.

Yeah I can do that. Might make out better for me that way any way. I'll set a few kits aside to break apart. Mind you I only have the lengths that came in the kit lol. I'll get some azz looking for 30' of wire, he'll end up getting (2) 17' lengths.

I can set one set aside Raymond if you're sure you'll need one. Look at what's in each kit and determine the lengths you'll need from the alt and batt/ground and I'll see what I have that fills your needs.

Maybe I should've ordered 20?

The RCAs are not the value in the deal. Even the terminals aren't anything to throw a parade over but they'll work. 10 lbs of wire for only $30 shipped is a steal at any gauge. Nicely packaged and shipped immediately. No complaints.

Well, i just got my 3 kits. Its not 1/0ga, but it almost exactly the same size as Rockford 2ga.

VERY thick casing, but 2ga...not 1/0ga. Its a good bit bigger than memphis 4ga. Compared it to Xscorpion 1/0ga, the Xscorpion looked HUGE in comparison. (its nice wire)

I kinda hate to say it, but Showrides...you must be blind. I dont know how you could think it was close to 1/0...and as for comparing it to the wire you had around the shop, what wire was that? (so i will know not to ever get that brand)

I'm still puzzled at how they worked out shipping even if the gauge is wrong. Even if it were all 4ga $30 isn't much. Say it cost them $8-$10 to ship it to you, that's $20-$22 for the kit. Unless they have some badass bulk shipping rate. Even 4ga is going for $1.40/ft. I'm still confused.
