I have a Soundstream Reference 1000SX amp (old school ones) pushing 2 JL 10W7 at 1.5 ohms bridged. The amp says that it can do 1000 watts in 1 or 2 ohms bridged. When I had this setup it didnt sounded as loud as when I had my 2 JL Subs hooked up to a Kicker 350.2 which gave my subs about 100-150 watts each. The subs being hooked up to the Kicker amp is louder than being hooked up to the Soundstream amp. Why is that? Is there something wrong with the Soundstream amp? And from what I heard those amps were pretty good. Anyone know what the problem is?
