Ok so if i want subs that hit real hard and are loud would that be SQL? or how loud do SQ subs get? what is the main difference between them? I mean I know pretty much but i was just wondering exactly what is the diff?

SQ is Sound Quality. Transient response, distortion. Just how good it sounds. This is somewhat subjective, it varies from person to person.

SPL is sound pressure level. LOUD.

SQL is a combo of the two.

ya i know all that... i guess what im asking is does the SQ get as loud as like spl subs? or close? and does sql subs give up quality for being able to go louder?

SPL tends to get loudest but lacks in quality
SQ is qieter and like cam said, varies from peroson to person
SQL means that it both gets LOUD and has Quality
